Calibre 400 is an entirely new movement, independently conceived by Oris, and sets the new standard for automatic mechanical movements. It has a five-day power reserve (120 hours), is highly resistant to magnetism, and comes with 10-year recommended service intervals and a 10-year warranty.
Oris’s Calibre 400, designed for intermittent wear, has a five-day power reserve. It uses twin barrels with extended mainsprings, each storing two-and-a-half days of power. It’s highly accurate, to -3/+5 seconds a day, surpassing a chronometer.
Oris's Calibre 400, with its advanced technologies, offers a 10-year warranty on watches registered at MyOris. Oris also proposes 10-year service intervals on these watches, barring accidental damage or water-resistance checks. This sets a new standard.
Aiming to pre-empt issues, Oris’s Calibre 400 addresses a common problem in automatic movements: the ball-bearing system. It’s replaced with a low-friction slide bearing system, simplifying the design, increasing efficiency, and reducing wear and tear.
Swiss watch movements can magnetise, affecting accuracy. Oris's Calibre 400, engineered with over 30 non-ferrous, anti-magnetic components, is highly anti-magnetic. It deviated less than 10 seconds a day after exposure to 2,250 gauss, surpassing ISO 764 standards.
